Frank F Harrison Community Association
Offering a WIDE RANGE of ACTIVITIES for the WHOLE COMMUNITY
Activities
We are constantly seeking to maintain and improve the quality of our services we deliver.
We aim to offer the broadest range of services and activities that the local community tell us they want us to provide. Often we face the difficulty of finding ways of funding activities, or subsidising activities so they are affordable, but we are constantly exploring new ideas and funding streams. We always welcome any suggestions from local people or groups as to new initiatives and requirements.

Local charity secures funding from The National Lottery Fund
Youth Sessions to continue in parts of Walsall after local charity secures funding from The National Lottery Fund
A Walsall charity has secured £404,821 from The National Lottery Community Fund to help continue delivering youth sessions in two areas of Walsall Beechdale and New Invention.
Frank F Harrison Community Association has received funding for its Our Path Our Choice project, which will provide young people with trusted support, positive activities and opportunities to build their confidence, resilience and life skills.
The project will continue to provide young people aged 8–16 with age-appropriate, centre-based youth sessions. It aims to help young people feel safer and more supported while strengthening youth voice through peer mentoring, volunteering and youth-led activity planning.
Through positive relationships with youth workers, young people will be supported in improving their emotional well-being, communication and conflict-resolution skills, making better lifestyle choices and preparing for adulthood.
Our Path Our Choice project will also aim to reduce anti-social behaviour, risky activities and involvement in offending and crime, while encouraging young people to become positive role models in their communities.
Frank F Harrison Community Association hopes the project will have a wider impact across Walsall by helping to create safer neighbourhoods, strengthen relationships between young people and their communities, and provide more opportunities for families to access local support.
Liam Perrens, Youth Coordinator for Frank F Harrison Community Association, said: We are so excited to have the opportunity to continue providing young people with consistent, trusted support and more opportunities to take part in positive activities.
Debra Mohammed, Charity Business Manager, said: “We are extremely grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and National Lottery players for helping us make a lasting difference for young people, families and the wider Walsall community.”
