Youth Clubs
We are constantly seeking to maintain and improve the quality of our services we deliver.
We aim to offer the broadest range of services and activities that the local community tell us they want us to provide. Often we face the difficulty of finding ways of funding activities, or subsidising activities so they are affordable, but we are constantly exploring new ideas and funding streams. We always welcome any suggestions from local people or groups as to new initiatives and requirements.

Walsall Charity Secures Much Needed Youth Funding - 3rd March 2020
Frank F Harrison Community Association has some fantastic news to share with you below! Please share with any other partners who would be interested in our great news.
Frank F Harrison Community Association celebrates after receiving funding from the National Lottery for a new youth project. The local Walsall based charity is pleased to announce the successful award of almost £350,000 over three years from The National Lottery Community Fund which will be used to support its work with young people. The Positive Choices Youth Project will be delivered in three areas of Walsall; New Invention, Dudley Fields and Beechdale.
Over the last year we worked with 673 Individual young people who have accessed our youth projects. The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund will enable us to provide 7 project sessions per week for young people. These additional sessions will mean that young people will be able to access a total of 9 sessions per week Monday to Saturday.
The Positive Choices Youth Project will seek to improve how young people see themselves, opportunities around them and how they feel they have a place in the community. The youth sessions will provide young people with a safe spaces where they can meet, develop skills and socialise whist working with youth staff to address some of the challenging issues they may be facing in order to help them increase their self-esteem and confidence. The project will allow young people to have more opportunity to access a wide range of services locally in their own community. The young people will improve their relationship with the wider community by participating in community events.
Liam Perrens, Youth Coordinator for the charity says “We’re delighted to be given the opportunity to deliver this project. The youth sessions will allow the young people to work with youth staff who will act as positive role models giving the young people a better opportunity and knowledge to make positive life choices for themselves.” Jayden aged 9 who currently attends youth club said “Youth club inspires me to be creative and take part in different activities. It helps me make new friends and tell people about the youth club so more people can attend.”
Debra Mohammed, Business Manager for Frank F Harrison Community Association says “it is fantastic that young people in Walsall will have the opportunity to take part in activities that they enjoy and play a part in shaping the future development of their own communities by being part of this project.”
